POLITICS, SOCIETY AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Following the success of previous years, the course Managing International Relations is proposed this summer in an edition inevitably focused on the evolution of the international geopolitical and geo-economic context during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The course contents will be deployed both through methodological modules on the analysis of international relations and through in-depth modules on the most topical issues, thanks to the contribution of top-level experts.
It will be delivered in English through live E-Learning sessions, in which participants will be involved in an intensive and interactive experience that will end with a group-work, aimed at immediately putting into practice the knowledge and skills acquired.

Objectives

A manager of international relations must be able to intercept, understand and manage change and complexity not only at a strategic level, as in the case of major trends, but also at an operational level. Therefore, the learning objectives of the course are:

  • Understand the main aspects of international dynamics at political, economic and security levels;
  • Acquire a simple but effective methodology of analysis;
  • Develop the basic tools to produce and disseminate analyses and evaluations useful for decision making.

Programme

A 5 days full immersion on-line course, from Monday to Friday, with live lessons in the morning (3 hours) and individual activities of study, in depth contributions of experts and self-assessment activities in the afternoon. On the last day, a 4-hour workshop ending with a group-work is planned. To enhance interaction and promote debate, an on-line forum will be available for participants. Live sessions will be recorded.

Topics covered:

  • Day 1 - Managing international relations | The new challenges| OSINT and data gathering
  • Day 2 - Actors, Interests, Resources: what I need to know
  • Day 3 - How to make an analysis
  • Day 4 - Key Geopolitical and Geo-economics factors
