The evolution of the Leisure Economy and the transformation of live events brought about new business models that reflect the changing habits of those who live in this new, global society. The sector has experienced significant changes in both technology and creativity; thus, it is easy to understand that these activities require new, high level and specific forms of managerial expertise.
Objectives
In this program, we are framing the concept of Live Entertainment Events Management as the capability to design and set up a venue in order to offer the best live experiences for any type of audience. Consequently, this course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the fast-paced world of live sports and entertainment event management.
By recognizing the shared characteristics between live event management in performing arts and other entertainment domains, we aim to extract best practices and innovations that can be seamlessly applied across different sectors.
Programme
The cycle of lessons is divided into 6 Teaching Units (TU):
The Teaching Units are composed of:
• Face-to-face lessons, delivered both in-person and/or via streaming
• Online conversational classes
• Audiovisual content to be accessed asynchronously
TU1: Design & Creation of Events - Friday, October 18th, 2024: 13:00 – 19:30
TU2: Venue & Operations - Friday, October 25th, 2024: 16:00 – 19:30
TU3: Music & Concerts - Friday, November 15th, 2024: 16:00 – 19:30
TU4: Food, Hospitality & Customer Experience - Friday, November 22nd, 2024: 16:00 – 19:30
TU5: Sport & Automotive - Friday, November 29th, 2024: 16:00 – 19:30
TU6: Promotion & Assessment - Friday, December 6th, 2024: 16:00 – 19:30
